Rafiki training begins by taking selected girls and young mothers through an orientation process which prepares them for the program. Once students have been placed into the program, before they can start learning they come to the centre for orientation. Orientation help introduce students to Rafiki program, what they need to know and what they should expect of the Rafiki program. They are also taught the school rules and regulations to live by while in training until they complete the program. Orientation takes place within 2 days. During orientation students get to understand the Rafiki vision and mission, values, etc, and make the final decision if they want to go through the Rafiki training program or not. After orientation training starts.
