Our Programmes

Rafiki runs three intakes of 40 students per intake. Recruitment for January intake is conductedin October, forMay is in March, while recruitment for August intake is in June . A total of120 young women are empowered with practical skills per year. Our entire program run for nine months.

Part 1

The first three months are COMPULSORY to all students. Subjects covered include: BusinessCommunication, Management and Entrepreneurship, Time Management, Introduction to Computers, HIV & AIDS Awareness, Health and Hygiene, Choose Freedom, Bible Knowledge, 7 habits of teenagers, Basic sewing, Basic cookery, Events decorations and Marriage principles.

Part 2

In the last six months the young women take up PROFESSIONAL Courses. These Specialized courses include:
1. Cutting and Designing,
2. Interior Design,
3. Hotel and Catering,
4. Early Childhood Development (ECD)
5. Nurse Aide
6. Cosmetology.
Each girl graduates with a certificate from Rafiki Girls’ Centre and certificates from whom ever conducts their professional study (e.g. The Red Cross for the Nurse Aid)
