Open Day is a day’s event organised by the school and brings together parents/ guardians, siblings or relatives of the girls accepted into the Rafiki program. This event takes place at least two to three weeks into the program. The purpose of this event is to help those invited to understand the Rafiki vision, mission, training program, rules and regulations, what is expected of all students and how they may participate in making the training program successful. The school encourages all guardians/ parents and siblings to support the young women during their training period with bus fares, food to carry to school, emotional support and even allowing them time to do their homework when they are at home.
