RGC has contributed tremendously to developing communities from where our girls come. In some ways the intervention at RGC has contributed to uplifting community standards through community development projects such as the provision of pre-school facilities, hair dressing facilities and hotel and catering, tailoring and nursing aide services. These are a result of trained girls who set up their small businesses in the communities. Another indirect way in which communities have been developed is through raising standards of living of households within the community. Poverty is being alleviated in the communities, one household at a time as the girls become employed and sustain their families.
